At Süheyla’s door

Çiçek & Güneş the quiet hosts of the house.

A table feels like home because of those waiting at the door. At Süheyla, one keeps watch and the other keeps the afternoon slow.

Part of the household

They are not decoration and they are not mascots. They are part of Süheyla’s everyday rhythm—the footsteps at the door, the nap beneath a chair, the small signs that a restaurant can become a home.

01 · Çiçek

Three legs.
A very big heart.

For five years, Çiçek has kept watch at Süheyla’s door. She has three legs, a gentle gaze and a heart much larger than her cautious first hello.

She likes to observe before she trusts. From her usual spot she notices who arrives and quietly sees guests off when they leave. Give her a little space and let her choose the first hello; she may decide to keep you company. A little fur sometimes comes with the welcome.

02 · Güneş

A patch of sunlight,
with whiskers.

Güneş is Süheyla’s ginger cat and the calm counterpoint to Çiçek. One moment they are watching Şahkulu Street from the window; the next, folded into a chair and fast asleep.

If Çiçek keeps the door, Güneş keeps the afternoon slow. Some guests meet both; some only glimpse an orange tail disappearing beneath a table. Either way, Güneş has a way of making the room feel settled.

Come say hello

The table is ready.
They may be, too.

You may find Çiçek by the door, Güneş in a sunlit corner—or both taking the day entirely at their own pace.
